2021 Sunflower Updates

UPDATE 7/22/21:

Unfortunately, this update does not come with good news. As you can see from the picture, the deer/wildlife have been hungry and are decimating the sunflower fields. It is very unlikely that any of the sunflowers will make it to bloom in August as we had initially hoped.

We understand that this news is upsetting. We wanted nothing more than to have the sunflowers bloom next month. Unfortunately, some things are out of our control.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The sunflowers have been planted and if all goes well they should bloom in August.

It is important to remember that planting them does not mean that they will bloom. We are dependent on environmental factors, just like any crop. As some of you know, the dear ate them before they could bloom two years ago.

Please check here or social media for information before planning your trip to the park.

Photography permits will be required for all professional photography. Please visit our Professional Photography Page for more information.
